Wine, Dine and Recline

When you sit to dine with a ruler, note well what is before you, and put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony. Do not crave his delicacies, for that food is deceptive. Proverbs 23:1-3

Not literally, please don’t go and cut your throat for giving in to the cravings of your flesh. The point here is to consider the delicacies of deception and don’t eat it. Period.

Use the Sword of the Spirit to literally stop you from indulging in cravings leading to spiritual death.(Ephesians 6:17)

Satan has used deceptive food to attack the Body of Christ since the very beginning of time. Remember how he used the deceptive food to allure Eve into being her own god in the Garden of Eden (See Genesis 3:1-6)? He used food to trick Esau to abandon his God-given birthright, (See Genesis 25:27-34) and he used food in an attempt to prevent Jesus from laying down His Life and raising up from the dead, (See Matthew 4:1-4). The devil will not stop trying to use deceptive delicacies to prevent you from knowing who you are in Christ. That is why you must get to know God’s Special Food (His Word) and be prepared to put the Sword of the Spirit to your appetite at the moment you recline to dine.

If our appetites lead us to recline with the King and sup with Him, he offers us a Bible bistro with a full line of extraordinary special food, and the location that He chooses is a one-of-a-kind setting. With outdoor seating for your dining pleasure, He really does have the best place for Happy Hour. He invites the hungry to enjoy the warmth of the SON while dining spiritual style.
Wine and Dine

On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine— the best of meats and the finest of wines. Isaiah 25:6

Remember wine is symbolic for the Holy Spirit, and reclining at His table means partaking in His Choice Food inside the elegant and inviting Presence of God. Oh it’s so wonderful!

Don’t settle for the second class restaurants of self rulers, those delicacies of deception will always leave a bad taste in your mouth, and you may even end up with cancer of captivity if you are not quick to discern the difference between good vs. evil eateries.

As they were drinking wine, the king again asked Esther, “Now what is your petition? It will be given you. And what is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be granted.” Esther 5:6

Dear King, as I recline and dine in your sweet Presence, my petition is that I may know you more, and that I will be filled with more of Your Spirit and less of me. I desire to sit on the patio of your plan, and recline in your radiant light. And though the world around me is crumbling I want to keep my focus on looking to that mountain from where my help comes. I lean back on my recliner and trust you for the finest future indeed.

Cheers to you my sister queens as you wine, dine and recline with the Righteous Ruler of our hearts. His peace surpasses all knowledge.
