Hammer of Hardship

What does a hammer of hardship have to do with inner beauty?

EVERYTHING.

The hardships you may be experiencing right now are the tools that God is using to break you; to tear down the image that you created of yourself. He is hammering out the old to rebuild the new. He wants to transform you into the image of His Son.

There is an ancient art of applying cosmetics by a means known as contouring. Contouring is an art that has to do with shadow and light, and shaping the structure of your face and body.

Many different tools are used to accomplish this.

What are some of those tools? Brushes, Curlers,  and Sponges to name a few.

In the same way, the Lord has tools too to shape us, to contour us. His desired result is to beautify the WHOLE BODY. You and I are His Body.  He is a Master Make-up Artist.

And His tool of choice is the hammer of hardship, knowing the outcome of the brokenness that draws us to the Father.

This beauty treatment shapes our beliefs and brings light to the Truth of who we are. When it’s applied to our lives, we are can be content with what we have and who we are.

God uses Trials and Hardships to contour our lives

The Bible is the tool to contour our spiritual bodies. Think about the hardships and trials he has brought to shape and contour you.

Saved and delivered for over 25 years now from so many things. Mom left home when I was a child. Ended up on drugs, living on the streets, former gang member, etc. Got married to a man who physically sexually and emotionally abused me. Had 3 children with him.

After Daniel was born, life was completely shattered when that husband left for another woman. I was homeless with 3 children.

Standing in a heap of rubble and pieces of my life were everywhere. The hammer of hardship literally crushed me to pieces.

The chisel of chastisement began to cut away all that was not of him. I entered my year of beauty treatments and it was painful to undergo the Spiritual cosmetic surgery. The image that I had always thought myself to be was shattered. But I was being transformed into His image.

Ultimately this is the goal for us all. To become more like Him and less of us. So you can see how hardships in your life are actually a beauty treatment for your heart, if you allow the Master make up artist to have His way as the Potter and you become the clay.

Rejoice my friend for this too shall pass!

The hope of hardships: HE DOES REBUILD!
