Day 30 of Chartering the Unknown

The word today is FIRST.

I am participating in a 31 day challenge to bloggers everywhere to write for five minutes everyday in October. This challenge was issued by Kate Motaung’s link up. Join me everyday as I chart our progress (in 5 minutes) on the unknown adventure with a known God.

I am pregnant! I may be in my first trimester, not sure. We are not sure what it is either. It may be the first time that I have ever birthed something that I have new clue what it will be.

Oh you thought I meant with a baby lol!

No I am pregnant with God’s plan and purposes.

First, I would like to say that before this journey even started back in August, a friend of mine called me with a word of knowledge.

“Jodie, you are getting ready to go through a hard season, and it will be like you are in a type of incubator. You won’t be able to DO anything, you will just rest.”

Now that is a FIRST.

Me not DO anything. I knew she was right. I knew that God was calling on me to let go of control and allow my husband to lead, which is also a first.

So anyway, the only door that opened up for us on October 1st, was a beautiful home called “The Birthing Center”. It is a home provided for teenage mothers, but it has not been open for quite a few months. However, God put us on the hearts of the owners. We met and God gave us all peace that it was His will for a season.

Did you get that, my friend said incubator? And that we are in a birthing center? Are you seeing first hand the power of God at work in our lives. He is calling me to rest in His promises, and seek His face, and then when it is time we shall birth the plan that He has ordained.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33
