The word today is SECOND.
I am participating in a 31 day challenge to bloggers everywhere to write for five minutes everyday in October. This challenge was issued by Kate Motaung’s link up. Join me everyday as I chart our progress (in 5 minutes) on the unknown adventure with a known God.
The second coming of Christ is often forgotten when we face trials or tribulations of any kind. We can get so caught up in the moment of what tomorrow will bring, but the next second may be our last second. When that second appears I hope we are ready.
27 Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, 28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many; and he will appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring salvation to those who are waiting for him. Hebrews 9:27-28
Friends, Jesus is coming back and not a second too late. He is a God of second chances, and He is waiting on you to give Him a second glance. But that day is soon approaching when He shall appear in a split second, and then it will be too late.
I was reminded of that fact this morning by a friend when I was whining about not knowing where we were going. She reminded me that my ultimate destination is heaven, and I am not Florida or South Carolina bound, but heaven bound.
I think I need me a second helping of that tasty truth! 🙂
