Day 18 of Chartering the Unknown

The word today is TASTE.

I am participating in a 31 day challenge to bloggers everywhere to write for five minutes everyday in October. This challenge was issued by Kate Motaung’s link up. Join me everyday as I chart our progress (in 5 minutes) on the unknown adventure with a known God.

One thing we did on this cruise was taste a whole lot of goodness. We tasted so many foods that we would normally not be able to afford any other time. Filet mignon for breakfast one day, and prime rib for dinner the next. It was a heavenly taste indeed. I ate fish, and many different gourmet dishes that I couldn’t even pronounce but the taste was exquisite.

But no matter how good the food tasted on the cruise, there was still nothing more delicious than the taste of God’s goodness. His Word is the satisfaction of my soul. Nothing can compare to each and every bite that I partake of in His Presence.

Bill and I found us a little hide a way up on the top deck of the cruise called serenity. Serenity tastes good. We were caught digging in to the jar of joyfulness as we wrapped ourselves into His goodness.

If you have never tasted goodness before, just open up His Word and take a bite. You will find satisfaction in every bite.

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Psalm 32:8

About jodiesdye

Originally from the Detroit, Michigan area, Jodie has made Perrysburg, OH her home since 2003. A former gang member and drug addict who had lost all hope of living, Dye felt the Lord calling her to follow him on Sept. 1, 1992. She has been following Jesus Christ for over 20 years with a greater addiction than she had with drugs. Her life testifies that God can create beauty from the hopeless cases in today’s society. What the enemy meant for her demise, God turned everything around to prove that it was the foolish one who would confound the wisdom of this world. Bill and Jodie Dye married in October 10, 2010. They have three children each, making their lovely family a model of the brady bunch. Four of those children are adults and are successfully making responsible choices for their futures and two sons still at home. Before Bill and Jodie were married, Jodie worked as a computer programmer, however, her passion was with people. She now has the opportunity to teach weekly Beauty Treatment classes at her home church, Calvary Church on Conant street in Maumee, OH. Her passion is to prepare the Church for the coming of Jesus Christ. Jodie directs and hosts Beauty Treatment Retreats. She has also been a speaker at various women's events and conferences.
