Day 8 of Chartering the Unknown

The word today is SAY.

I am participating in a 31 day challenge to bloggers everywhere to write for five minutes everyday in October. This challenge was issued by Kate Motaung’s link up. Join me everyday as I chart our progress (in 5 minutes) on the unknown adventure with a known God.

Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

The whole chapter of Psalm 91 has a lot to say to someone who is learning to trust the Almighty in the shadows.

If you say, “The Lord is my refuge,” and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.

Honestly, I am not in a scary place right now because I feel protected in submission to the Lord and my husband. I really feel like I am in a covering, and nothing could harm me. It is an awesome place to be, I must say.

Of course, I haven’t always been in submission and I can definitely see the difference. When I walk in my own ways, my own plan, then fear grips my heart. And instead of dwelling in the shelter of the Most High, I dwell in the shadows of a lie; the lie that says, “I got this.”

The Most High covers the shadows of a lie.

NO! God’s got this, and the truth in 1 Samuel 15:29 says, “He who is the Glory of Israel does not lie or change his mind; for he is not a human being, that he should change his mind.”

So I decide today that I will dwell in, settle here, inhabit, reside in, yes I will stay in the Presence of my King, because I know He loves me. And since he first loved me, I can say that I truly love Him back.

14 “Because he loves me,” says the Lord, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. 15 He will call on me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. 16 With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
